When you hear “online reputation management,” what do you think of?
If you’re like most people, you think of “social media,” or something similar.
That’s understandable.
Certainly, that can be a part of it.
However, that’s not all.
There’s so much that goes into proper online reputation management.
It’s important to remember that “online reputation management” never stops. There is no point where you think: “well, my reputation is sterling. That’s it. I’m done.”
Sure, a reputation can be renowned as to be universally praised, but even then, that can often be as fragile as the next controversy.
Honest Reviews
Roughly 95% of online shoppers read online reviews before they make a purchase.
That doesn’t mean “nine out of ten shoppers read a review before making a purchase.” No, it means more than nine out of ten shoppers read a review before making a purchase.
Business owners know that.
Unfortunately, ne’er-do-wells know that, too.
At our company, we’ve had clients who were blackmailed with potentially bad reviews. Our clients were threatened, basically told: “Hey, pay us, or we’ll make these bad reviews get out there.”
Of course, we weren’t going to let that happen.
Through some hard but quick work, we were able to keep it from happening.
Unfortunately, that kind of thing happens all the time.
If you don’t have a marketing company on your side, it becomes that much harder to keep it from happening. Moreover, you need to have a marketing company with experience in this kind of thing.
You might think: “well, mine is a small business, I don’t really have to worry about something like that.”
Well, so was this client.
The truth is, there are those who would target a small business because they assume they can be picked on. They don’t think you have someone by your side, someone who can help, and they figure you’ll just pay up.
We’ve helped to prove that mindset dead wrong.
Nothing Wrong with Reaching Out
We don’t mean to imply that every negative or even less than enthusiastic online review is somehow fraudulent. Few are.
The truth is that if someone leaves a review that isn’t as positive as you would like, the best thing to do is probably to reach out to them.
Perhaps it’s the kind of thing that you can resolve in a matter of moments, through a few seconds’ worths of clear-headed responses. We can help with that as well.
With our online reputation management work, we do it on behalf of your company, but we aren’t of your company. So, we’re able to provide advice and strategy with a clear, objective eye. We can tell you what’s worked in the past and show how it can work for you.
That way, your company gets services based on fundamental, successful principles that organically fit with your brand, voice, and more.
Maintenance and Beyond
“Reputation management for your company” is one of those things that, if you try to think about it on your own, can almost be too big to wrap your mind around. There’s so much that goes into, so many moving parts, that it can seem vast and unquantifiable.
Those are just some of the reasons that we offer our customers monthly reports.
Instead of just describing it: (“hey, your reputation looks great this month,”) we show you exactly how it’s going. On top of that, we include the progress that we’ve made, too.
That way, you can see what “word of mouth” really looks like as opposed to just hearing about it.
We’re always glad to talk about how we can make your company appear online in the way that you want at: (888) 477-9540.
