In this week’s Newsletter, we put the spotlight on a few select topics, relevant to our industry, such as “Top Google Ranking Factors in 2021”, “SEO for Lawyers: Why Should You Hire Experts to Do It Right?” and “The Importance of ADA Compliance”. You can read more about it here:
Whether lawyers are speaking to clients or marketing companies like ours, they tend to want to only hear the facts. What goes into the ranking factors for SEO for lawyers is actually more clear-cut than you may realize.
You know you need SEO services for your business and you know not to just hire a freelancer. The question then becomes, should you put together an “in-house” team at your business? Or, alternatively, should you outsource SEO to an already-existing company?
The phrase “SEO service packages” can be misused a bit online. Too often, a digital marketing company will use it as an excuse to get a client to pay for services they do not need. That said, there are some basic fundamentals that each of these packages requires. No SEO package is complete without them.
It’s 2021. Depending on who you believe, SEO started in 1991 or 1997. We don’t use much technology from around that time anymore (VHS tapes and CDs are a bit outdated) so is there really a place for SEO services in 2021?
Too often, a digital marketing agency describes SEO services packages like they are add-ons for a car. They tend to think that you’re not really aware of what you need, so they try to get you to pay as much for a large cup holder as you would power windows (to use an analogy). That said, there are some services that absolutely should be included in any search engine optimization package.
Over the years, we’ve helped so many of our clients to have an internal linking strategy that works, boosting their SEO as well as their company. A page with more links, internal or external, has more authority. It’s a better page as it’s been linked to more times. As one-page links to another, it bestows a bit of credibility on the page it links to. In turn, that makes it more possible that the second page will rank.
Your competition is more than just another company in your own industry. Yes, they are your competition. Depending on your geographic region and reach, they may be your most direct competition. But, they’re far from your only competition. You’re not just competing against another company. You’re competing against an experience. That may not have always been the case. But, in the wake of a pandemic, it definitely is now.
“We’re always looking to provide a better experience for our customers.” “We take our customers’ concerns into mind with everything we do.” Plenty of companies say that. But, how many actually do them? If your customer experience is lackluster, that could turn away the customers that you could help most.
Does it feel like Google changes what they’re looking for practically every day? Has it felt like you’ve just adapted to one Google change when another comes along, potentially leaving you in the lurch? Many business owners and marketers feel that way.
