When you look at your digital marketing, does it feel too similar to what you’ve seen elsewhere? Does it seem as if everything you’ve done is more or less the same? Building a consistent, reliable brand across many channels is great for your marketing. However, everything looking and feeling exactly like everyone else’s advertising is not. As a digital marketing agency, these are some of the ways that we help our clients to rise above others in their industry.

The keyword in the last sentence was “some.” This is the briefest, smallest glimpse of what we do. Moreover, these tips are not industry-specific. Yes, we work with a wide range of lawyers, rehab/treatment centers, and many, many others. But, regardless of what industry you’re in, these can help.

Use AI Like It’s Your Intern

“How can I use AI for my business?” That’s a question that not only do our clients ask us but we often ask ourselves. Yes, AI has many uses. But, AI has some very real limitations. You can’t trust its writing, for one. Even with the best, most detailed prompt, AI writing often sounds like a somewhat bright elementary school child jotting down words to completely hit an essay’s word count.

Yes, you can go back and edit it. But, the whole point of using AI is that it’s to make your job easier and not more time-consuming.

The way I use it is to treat it like an intern. Ask AI to lay out different ways to possibly say one sentence or another. Prompt it for suggestions about meta titles, descriptions, social media posts, etc. You can even ask it for an outline of what might be included in a blog/landing page/etc.

Then, of course, I only use that as a start. I certainly don’t actually use exactly what it says, copy and paste it, or anything of that nature. AI “hallucinates” (and what a lovely word that is) far, far too much to be trusted.

But, you can use it to get started. AI is fantastic for prewriting, for generating a series of ideas from which you could create. AI makes for a great intern (and you don’t have to write a letter of recommendation, either).

Short Form Video for Long-Term Results

Video marketing is only getting more popular. Moreover, it’s getting shorter, too. That doesn’t mean that you have to only film content in short snippets. But, it does mean that you should be able to break your content into smaller, more digestible pieces.

For example, here at our omnichannel digital marketing agency, I host our podcasts. These can go on for up to an hour. But, we don’t just put out the hour-length podcast. Our entire team breaks these down into small, short form videos.

That way, we can use them on TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and more. They can be used in practically any format. You don’t just have to share these on your social media, either. They’re a great fit for your website, landing pages, service pages, and the like.

Humanity and Personality are Going to Stand Out

With the rise of AI, as you might have noticed, there’s so, so much more AI-generated content online. And, as you’ve noticed, much of it is homogenized. It all looks and seems the same. We’ve all seen endless advertisements, pictures, posts, and the like, with what are clearly AI-generated figures. If you’re like me, your eye just kind of glosses over those at that point. This can seem exhausting. But, really, it’s a great opportunity.

In an era where everyone sounds the same, showcasing your real, authenticity and authority is going to stand out. In all of your digital marketing, make sure that you showcase what you’re good at, what you want people to know.

We have restaurant clients, for example, who show how the food is cooked, sped-up videos of how they do it, and so forth. Many of our rehab/treatment center clients’ ads consist of tours of their amenities.

That’s real. It’s authentic. It shows that you’re someone who Google can trust, which means that you’re much more likely to rank higher for the keywords you want to rank for.

If your ads, and your campaign, feel like what everyone else is doing, make sure to put your personality in there. People want to like the businesses they do business with. Showing what makes your business unique, special, and qualified, can only help.

A Digital Marketing Agency to Help With This and More

The above are just some of the ways that we help our clients. These are baseline, basic ideas. But, we’ve found that so many just don’t incorporate these into what they’re doing. By showcasing what makes your business yours, you have a much better chance of getting the conversions you should.
