Journey Builders reached out to Website Depot to create an SEO strategy that would increase its site’s organic traffic and online visibility. It would also boost brand awareness on the local roofing landscape. The company wanted Website Depot’s team to get its site ranking for highly competitive targeted keywords, such as “roof repair specialist” and “roof inspection” on SERPs. 


The Solution

In 2021, Website Depot’s specialists started examining Journey Builder’s website from a user’s point of view. It would help the team find issues that are hindering the site’s performance and increasing bounce rate. The team brainstormed the strategy, researched for keywords and created non-branded and generic keywords, and transformed them into topics relevant to the company’s target audience. The goal was to prioritize keywords with high search volume that align with the company’s campaign. The team also identified topics with low competition and optimized the content to boost SEO performance.


Results

The SEO strategy paid off as Journey Builder’s website trumped its competitors. Within five months of implementing the strategy, the site increased its organic visitors immensely, and organic page views grew. The changes in the user interface boosted organic sessions. The continued SEO efforts allowed 35% of targeted keywords to rank in the top 10. The strategy also pushed Journey Builders to appear in Featured Snipped for queries related to roofing.
